CSS Meeting- 22nd November 2009- Valluvar Kottam- 2.30pm Chair- N Sathish Kumar Major discussions- 1. Children’s day event planned on 29th November when most CSS members celebrating their November birthday could join with children at Sadana- School for Deaf and Dumb 2. The event has been finalized to help with some basic requirements at the school 3. The expenses per head as been marked as Rs. 100; including lunch and other entertainment expenses 4. New volunteer activation plan by which new volunteers wil be asked to share their experience with a social activity or their interested area of work to maximise their potential. taking time out to explain about various teams by the team heads and also in familiarising with CSS activities Making new volunteers feel at home with customised mailing on various groups and doing a follow up on their interest areas Having done the intro the following feedback is to be shared with all the team heads for better coordination BalaSaraswathy/ Latha shall be the face of CSS during new volunteer interaction Media interaction from now on shall be taken up by individual members closer to media personel and link being forwarded to Sathya Sir, heading the media team at CSS. CSS Meeting- 23rd August 2009

Venue- Independence Day Park, Time- 4.00pm Highlights- Lata and Bala had attended Tulir's special workshop on Monday and Tuesday- 17th and 18th August 2009. more than 25 NGO's from different parts of amilnadu participated. Highlights were difficulty for abused victims to get timely judicial help due to lacking of certain legal provisions protecting children the inadequate representation of children in legal fora against crimes the penalty imposed is paltry procedures to help te victim- like registering an FIR and also identifying oneself as Against Child Abuse volunteer so that law enforcement agency is more receptive to our approach respect the victims feelings and not to urge to narrate the incident often and proper care; during interrogation the victim is accompanied by an adult and always videographed for documentation Child toll free helpline number is 1098 Joy of giving beginning from 27th to 3rd October wheren Tulir would be interested to conduct a silent rally on Child

Nalanda Updates- Identify areas like slums and slum clearance board housing places for school children who have dropped out or stopped education due to financial reasons and draw up plans to bet them back to schools preferrably by next academic year Sponsorship for poor deserving students- requirement for Santhiya P studying at Saidapet Government school in XI has been accepted by Pasupathi and Sangeetha, an amount of Rs. 500 towards her education Another requirement for a college hostel student towards her hostel fees per month Rs 1500/- A requirement for a school based in Pudhukottai has been decided to be referred any other NGO based there as it would be difficult to oversee the help at a far place. CSS Anniversary Celebrations Preparations

05 July 2009 Meeting Venue- Balaji Residence- 3.30pm Chair- N Sathish Kumar 1. Action 2020 update- attended by Tiru and Priya organised at IIT, Chennai education was given primary importance need to document any activity or event for better reporting and presentation to general audience all activities must be mapped to objective achieved or success rate analysis 2. Gramudharan Visit The gramudharan team had visited Vayalur today and two teams took up the responsibilities one was sports team by Pradeep and Swaminathan Sir for game of cricket, the ground is being readied for more proper games the other team visited the hous eof lady ffected by breast cancer to deliver 5 tins of milk powder- 4 teams were sponsored by VIDIYAL Lata had also visited the Irula households and distributed 7 sets of notebooks and goemetry set for the children Dr. Ashwin will be coordinating with Saveetha Medical college for a health camp at Vayalur some time in 2nd week of August 3. The session was from 10am to 1.00pm on Saturday 20th June 2. Aravanaippu- Jeyabala and Praveena are coordinating the list orphange and old age lis in Chennai Udhavi Trust, a group supporting slum children education have been pledged an amount of Rs. 7500 from Lavanya's father and CSS as part of Lavanya's wedding; Bala will be coordinating with Jeetu in purchase of school stationery for the children Tution requirement for children at Child Trust- their subjects and other details to be gathered Sai a english lecturer would like to volunteer for taking classes for students at Vayalur 3.G
