CSS monthly meet- 12th September 2010- Independence Day Park Summary of the Points discussed- 1. Joy of Giving Week- 26th September to 2nd October- CSS will be coordinating the activities like Vastra Samman and School-to-School campaign from Colleges/Corporates and Schools respectively. Goonj was represented by Vimal and posters and ideas were shared. CSS August Meet MoM- 2010

Wishing you all 63rd Anniversary Independence Day celebrations to all volunteers Brief idea on CSS discussions we also wished Vimal's Father smooth and quick recovery from his illness CSS has taken part in Yathra's Independence Day celebrations for kids from Orphanages, more than 300 children took part; CSS contributed Cake and drinks by Vimal for the event held at Leo Matriculation in AnnaNagar. Yathra is a team of volunteers who have passed out from Leo Matriculation school. The event was held on 14th August. we also celebrated birthday for children celebrating in the month of August Continuing with Independence Day Celebrations Vasu, Venkat, Sangeetha, Tiru, Jeetu and Sathya Sir had taken part in Independence day celebrations at Govt. High School Vadamanipakkam, Kanchipuram. Acceding to principal's request we distributed 130 numbers of 10th Std question banks for last 5 years. Kids Carnival July 2010- action plan drawn - List of people and their responsibilities - Vidyodaya School, Lady Andal School- Anita - Quaid-e-Millet College, St. Bede's School, Roasry Matric school, Kandaswamy College- Gunalan - Madrasa School, Lady Wellington College- Sathya Sir - Pachaiyappa College and St. Ebba's school charge- Rs 1,00000 and Rs 60,000 for 2 days - Singaram Pillay School confirmed free of cost- Lead Sathya Sir we need to submit a written letter for confirmation 2. Venue- Independence Day Park, Time- 3.00pm, Chair- N Sathish Kumar Discussion Brief- ARAVANAIPPU- Thanikai's request for supporting a mentally challenged single mother through sewing machine as been supported by all- lead to be processed by Tiru and Swami Sir Animal rights & Welfare- Prithvi has suggested undertaking an activity by way of supporting the Blue cross in preparing a first aid kit for admitted animals at the clinic so that the doctors can easily administer the aid to animals- Visit planned on 21st March- Prithvi to coordinate the visit timings ARAVANAIPPU - Sadana has requested for tailoring tutor and Parthiban is coordinating with few sources; interested people can suggest someone- to be based at Kelambakkam ARAVANAIPPU- Month end birthday celebrations to be held at Hope trust; further discussion with members show unanimity for spending qulity time with children rather than providing material benefits. 7th February Monthly Meet- 2010- Independence Day Park- 4.00pm Highlights- 1. Nalanda - Sangeetha has started off her classes for 20 students in Mathematics at Saidapet Government School- Mon/Wed/ Fri- 3.00-4.00pm REQ- volunteers willing to take classes for XI and XII Std students in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics contact or mail to sangeetha.
