Minutes of Meeting- 4th July 2010

1. Discussion on 4th anniversary celebration:
 Plan to rope in online (inactive) members in presenting team achievements.
 Conducting a blood donation camp.
 Photo shoot ( under discussion) with new members
 Child Abuse Prevention signature camp, presentation on awareness of ORGAN DONATION and STEM CELLS donation.
 Discussion on finalization of venue: Preferably a closed arena

 CERTIFICATE issuing to the deserving volunteers ( suggestion)- on successful execution of CSS projects
2. ID card details submission reminder, only pass port size photo entertained.
3. Distribution of CSS T-Shirts (only to the ID card holders) valid for 1 year.
4. Update on RAMAKRISHNA MATT PROJECT: LEPROSY CURED REHAB REG:
 Aiding in maintenance of accounts of the SHG’s, Murali has roped in 3 of his colleagues to guide us.
o The second Saturdays are normally when the SHG members gather to deposit their collections, volunteers are required to interact with the members and share a lighthearted and a compassionate talk with them
 Planning a visit to thirumavlur ( chengalpet)- the government allotted land for Leprosy cured people and understand their needs and draw up plans to make their living a little better including cleaning of premises if required
 Need volunteers for collection of the data base of family members of these patients, Plan to conduct a job fair for their children according their qualification and skill set.
 Mobilizing and aiding the formation of teams with the help of college students from in and around area near Chengalpattu
5. Supporting Milton Roy Activities-
 Prithvi had arranged for a company staff interaction on World Environment day 5th June 2010; other activities included
o presentation by Prithvi on How to conserve energy in everyday life and in office environment
o presentation on CSS by Sathyamoorthy Sir
o An interaction with tree lover Mahendran on do’s and don’t’s of planting saplings and taking care.
o The other half of the program included a collage competition for employees with commonly available waste materials in their office campus, this was designed by Prithvi.
o Milton Roy has agreed to give their office space for raising saplings in their campus after July and distribute it to willing volunteers to plant it at their home- to be supported by Mahendran of Annai Baghyalakshmi Trust
o CSS was represented by Prithvi, Sathyamoorthy Sir, Anand, Lakshmi and Satish.
 Need volunteers for blood donation, at 1:00 pm on 10th July at their office premises in Ekkatuthangal.
6. BLUE CROSS: cleaning project
 Fixed 2/3rd Sunday of every month for premises cleaning of Blue Cross- dates will be confirmed in next mailing.
 Request on collection of 1rp rice from ration shops.- currently Swaminathan Sir had supported with contribution from other CSS volunteers
7. Collection drive for supporting poor patients at ICH, Egmore for their new born and young infants
 BABY CLOTH- supported by Varshitha with her baby’s used good condition clothes
 USED GOOD CONDITION SHOES- given by Tiru’s HCL colleagues
8. DISASTER MANAGEMENT WEEK- ICF TRAINING- 25th June 2010
 Murali had hosted presentation on Tsunami and its rehabilitation efforts and basic precautionary measures and steps to be taken pre and post tsunami efforts

10. STAR OF THE MONTH AWARD: JUNE 2010- BHARATH
Bharath has been an intelligent volunteer who has understood the requirements and ably supported the teams with his unassuming a character and dedication.
• His support for Visually challenged students scribing needs
• His support in mustering blood donors
• His support for Ekam projects by accompanying the water tank cleaning team and during his support for Ramakrishna Matt volunteers is commendable
