Why the media & pundits are getting it wrong on reforms and politics splashed on the The Economic Times e-Newspaper on 21st September 2012; written by a faithful Opposition leader Yashwanth Sinha. Yes the article was very well structured which had the points which would make ruling party's decision look very opportunistic and ridden of any logic at times of economic slowdown and continued strain on WPI from various factors. All the qualities of an opposition leader at centre but certainly lacks the sincere approach to the issue at hand. If as stated by Yashwanth Sinha that the decision smacks of complete stupidity least said because why at fag end of a government's tenure? I would say decisions have to be made and should be taken when ever the time arrives; UPAII has completely lost the plot in its second tenure for various reasons chief being their allies and own partymen's misadventure in 2G and Coal scam. India as Anna Hazare says does not have a strong Corruption...

When Dr. Manmohan had taken the mantle for first time everyone sang the praise of a man who was the architect of 90's reforms which was taken forward with much gusto by subsequent opposition regimes. But as story unfolds when only original cast players have disappeared for ever. Dr. Singh was just a tool while the original Ringmaster who orchestrated the reforms goes to Mr. Narasimha Rao. I do not want to take un qualified conclusions to hilt; this was the verdict from various sources which have dimmed in the paeans sung for Dr. Singh's no nonsense and simple approach. But truth shall always prevail........ Why rake in Narasimha Rao when the 2 decade old bygones have little import now? Its because the present Government lacks the will power especially political will to implement much needed reforms as to Mr. Rao had skillfully orchestrated his troupe; with Dr. Singh given free hand.
