Can there be a better understanding of what a classical art form surviving in midst of western and Hindustani influence go through? a more matured thinking on part of film's protagonist who begins to unravel the wonders in Carnatic music which has no caste, creed, religion or even sex to stop from immersing a soul in blissful union with the supreme. Music when seen from an unknown source of power makes it more mystic and supreme. the movie captures a struggle between a traditional musical man and the unraveling cruel world around him. K Vishwanath could not have done justice to Indian cinema more than this creation.
