A Banyan in inner strength-yet a Jasmine scenting poor people's lives

How many have heard about Krishnammal Jagannathan? Definitely not our first Miss India or Miss World, definitely not a ISRO's first female programme director or even a first woman to have been elected to State assembly...........................but a human who has till date continues to travel up and down a government representative Collectorate's office many times in a month fighting for the rights of landless peasants. She was FIRST in many noble ways- a Human being with compassion to the suffering landless farmers in highly unreliable & nature bounty agriculture; a woman like none other to have vowed to dress a spartan saree- hand woven and lead a life meant for Satyagrahis and Karma yogis. What is so great about a woman who does not take on womanly pleasures? she derives the strength when she talks to today's youth expostulating them to get down and get dirty in hands and feet by serving the downtrodden in a rightful manner of Ahimsa. Can you believe there li

Self confessed Leader in a Hurry! Arvind Kejriwal

Going by his all to dramatic looks and contrived statements Arvind has very well entered big time political games. Welcome to Great Indian Tamasha, what makes this even more dull and morose is same script being re-written on a soiled page called Post Independent Indian Politics. Chapter 3 Post reforms era. What are other two? Indian politiks makes for a beautiful naming saga; Chapter 1 Nehruvian era lots of colonial era magic and start of dynastic blunder; while Chapter 2 shall be Nehru's doing- Indira and Black days of '77 followed up with colourless 80's. Arvind seems to have used the Annaji's face and Topi very well; had he been on the creative board of Saatchi and Saatchi he would have earned in not less than 6 digit figures in dollars alas he has chosen a wrong platform and terribly wrong man furthermore a terribly wrong time. India is looking for a stable party which does not play dirty with coal and have cry babies like Mamta; thugs like Alagiri and Ran

CSE's stark facts on Govt.'s misplaced Solar policy

A classic case FDI’s sordid state of affairs in Renewable source of Energy   A detailed study done by Centre for Science and Environment, New Delhi over past few years highlight a major chink in the Government’s logic of FDI benefiting the supposed sector gaining FDI- in this case Renewable energy sector Solar energy.   The industry under study is renewable- Solar power Under Ministry of New and renewable Energy the industry has seen an unstable policy support to the manufacturers.   Considering the Solar energy’s efficiency standards India’s major chunk of investment has been in Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaic cells manufacturing whereas the less expensive in comparison thin film cells have overtaken the current installations. Why? Capturing few snippets from the DTE report- No proper pricing support policy for the Indian Manufacturers in India Back door entry of US Thin Film solar cell manufacturers when India is glut with Po

FDI in Indian Psyche- a demon or an opportunity?

Why the media & pundits are getting it wrong on reforms and politics splashed on the The Economic Times e-Newspaper on 21st September 2012; written by a faithful Opposition leader Yashwanth Sinha. Yes the article was very well structured which had the points which would make ruling party's decision look very opportunistic and ridden of any logic at times of economic slowdown and continued strain on WPI from various factors. All the qualities of an opposition leader at centre but certainly lacks the sincere approach to the issue at hand. If as stated by Yashwanth Sinha that the decision smacks of complete stupidity least said because why at fag end of a government's tenure? I would say decisions have to be made and should be taken when ever the time arrives; UPAII has completely lost the plot in its second tenure for various reasons chief being their allies and own partymen's misadventure in 2G and Coal scam. India as Anna Hazare says does not have a strong Corruption
