CSS monthly meet- 12th September 2010- Independence Day Park
Summary of the Points discussed-
1. Joy of Giving Week- 26th September to 2nd October- CSS will be coordinating the activities like Vastra Samman and School-to-School campaign from Colleges/Corporates and Schools respectively.
  • Goonj was represented by Vimal and posters and ideas were shared.
  • Decision on hosting stalls at Corporate and retail stores has been decided with a standee type of flex to be designed

2. Seva Mela- at Valluvar Kottam on 26th and 27th September- CSS will occupy stalls on 26th evening and 27th and will come up with theme to get the crowd interested

3. Month end birthday celebrations venue to be decided by Charu and Mahesh

4. Special children sports meet to be held in the last week of October 2010 and Parthiban and Anita to finalise the ground rules after which the venue will be discussed.

5. Childrens adoption for mentorship programme to be taken up in October before which orphanage and slum children to be identified.

6. New volunteer introduction- Ranjith, Karthik and Dhanuja- welcome to all to CSS family

7. Special appreication to CSS Volunteer Anita and her friends for contributing Rs 5000 towards the 'Friendsforneedy' Home for women towards their building repair expenses.

8. Star of the month- Vimal Raj- consistent support for Aravanaippu team and also following up with certain homes for their requirement and support. Vimal has been an active volunteer during his college days and has earned him a reputation as a 'go getter' while conducting social oriented events. He has carried this with him into CSS with same passion. He is a good entertainer for kids and also conducts cultural activity at the orphanages and destitute home.

Can i please use the loo plzzzzzzzzzzzzz veri urgent.....................how many might muster courage in asking our guests or even places we visit when in need. Most do now. But most (not sure if there would be a protest for 'MOST') merrily wet the nearest and publicly visible wall-thicket-bush-rubbish dump (which many in India can spot easily) and corporation playgrounds. When i say most i do not include my close friends because i know my friends, but often near my home or on way to work i find well dressed especially with a silk tie around their neck struggling to negotiate a tie from getting wet rather than my glaring eyes. Tryst with Western Ghats- Karnataka Story

Western ghats are the lifeline for Monsoons, bringing rain to water starved plains, feeding many wild forest reserves, agriculture, plantations and rural and urban settlements. This year(2018) we chose Madikeri to spend close to nature and avoid going to coffee plantations and artificially infused wildlife surrounding the plantations. yet we still could not avoid the coffee plantations for want of good private space to spend quality time. we chose a location close to nature and it was located a good distance away from the bustling town hence the need to wait patiently for transport to ferry us to the location. the steep slopes and typical hill houses added charm to the location. the place we were staying was called Kabbinakad. This story is meant to talk through images which we captured throughout our journey. Jil Jung Juk- 3J's to good entertainer

Wow i am at last feeling comfortable watching Siddharth's acting. What do you mean, he's the darling of many lovely damsels, young oozing females of Indian ethos, and envy of many a talented actors-male. Siddharth's stereotype kind of angry frustrated looks of Boyz/ Bommarillu/ to other movies has made me feel move away from this talent hotbed's exploits. The KaviyaThalaivan/ Jigarthanda has pulled me back to sit up and see his metamorphosis. Sure its bit hard on a actor with prodigious talent and out of box thinking in an industry hell bent on formulaic offerings. The carefree attitude to try new things seems to synchronize with the Tamil movie audience too. The title has hit a jackpot and character introduction too is offbeat, but one thing is 3 main characters must have been balanced well Siddharth is all over the movie, other 2 characters get a minor part to play in a plot which could have been more involving with other 2 protagonists.  Problem with s
