CSS Meetings have been decided to be hosted twice every month from Now onwards, this meet will be for Month of October 2009.

- Scribes required for College model exams- Madras School of Social Work and Quaid-e-Millet; interested scribes contact Venkat @ 98415 50476
- December 3rd World Disability Day; as part of this event CSS would like to Launch English communication course for the visually challenged students
- As part of the event preparations for English communication classes we have identified following volunteers for mobilising resources
- Parthiban- English Faculty; Tara- Role of Faculty; Lady Wellington College- premises enquiry- Bala Saraswathy; Vivekananda and Presidency College- Parthiban for students
- Magazine collection drive for Visually challenged- Vasupradha to take it up
Requirements- VScribe-
- 40 audio cassettes for Kanakaraj a visually challenged student
- Kannan M course fee of Rs. 10,000 studying at Presidency
- Mahendran- mess fees- Rs. 1500 paid through CSS remaining for next 9months
2. Nalanda
- Madras Seva Sadan classes at Chetpet will begin from 10th October
- Requirement for more volunteers for Tamil and english medium
- Urgent need for English tutor for 6th Std students at the school- Interested students kindly scrap Sangeetha at physiosangi@gmail.com
3. Environment Care Group
- Every weekend ECG volunteers will address the requirements of specific area
- a set of volunteers on identifying the areas to be covered for the week will supply field volunteers in specific area or zones with required saplings before the weekend activity
- The field volunteers will in turn deliver the saplings to the SMS requests
- after exhausting old requests; new requests will be charged Rs. 10 for every sapling hereafter with first one being free
4. Aravanaippu
- Bala visited Seva Samajam and found their requirements to be sufficient with support from governement.
- Bala will be assigning work for volunteers to assess new orphanages and old age homes
- 345 books requirement for school students in South Tamil nadu, plans to courier the material or school representative will collect the materials
- a wedding request for Nandhini's friend, Bala will confirm the home
- Deepavali e-mailer on saying Yes to less noise and less pollution this Deepavali- Sangeetha to design
- Julian's CRY project at Meenambalpuram and Kannagi Nagar Schools- to understand the quality of education and other basic amenities- Sangeetha to coordinate and confirm the details
Gramudharan-
- Pradeep and Jagdish have visited Vayalur and confirmed the tournament details- it shall begin from 11th October with league matches being played on 11th and then followed by another league games after Deepavali- 25th October
- Vayalur's village requires another coach for cricket training for another set of boys- Sathya Sir to follow up the lead
Other Updates-
- YOUniverse has successfully completed the training for 20 odd volunteers on leadership and other qualities, CSS was represented by Nandhini, Renga, Mrinalini, Jaggu, and Lakshmi for 2 days. They informally met on 3rd October to discuss 15 day social action plan from 25th November to 7th December- modalities to be worked out.
- Sathya Sir proposed for a video shoot for CSS volunteers in a few weeks time wherein we will be issued ID cards and also a group photo shoot- Tara to open forum and poll for possible dates of the shoot
- Movie passes for film exhibition at Sathyam cineplex from 12th to 15th October availale with Sathya Sir, interested volunteers can contact Sathya Sir @ 99401 35423
- Discussions on Children's day event inconclusive with idea of gathering orphange childrens staying firm but on how to oganise the event needs further brain storming.
- Every Month CSS will be spending time at any identified Orphanage or old age home- Bala to keep us informed.
- Materials for Joy of Giving was shared with us by Vaanaraj, Tara and few other volunteers. Thanks a lot for all.
