Indian farmer how much ever looks spik and span on Tollywood screen is down clean when he soils his loins and gets his ankles hard dried with clayey sand. I had a most humbling of experiences in last 2 days 14th and 15th December 2013.  How can a foolhardy cautious city bred westernized modern thinking bookworm be put into a situation totally out of place sort of for this haughty City farmer....................when he himself gets down to work in his mental frame of mind and get snubbed to core; been cut to pieces by a simple farmers reproach...................................I, in my gum boots got royally stuck into a 2 feet deep clayey water logged field which was being prepared for next land seedling sowing...............I prepared my dress code for the day- gum boots & cap; weather...

Yes, if you are a Tamilian and any way a movie buff, you should get your Tamil politics refreshed. One wonders why, movie artists are the propaganda materials for ruling and opposition parties. If say A is enjoying the present ruling term as CM; one must queue before her or his home for their blessings- but why? not for upcoming project or creative discussion but to show case the movie FREE of cost and also to please their INNER EGO.  What ego does a CM have- every man or woman is most enthralled when praised; 2 kinds- Praise for worthy and deserving individuals, while others praise to seek their blessings (similar to archanai to god). Tamilnadu politics has never matured beyond the cradle. One can go any extent to show adverse adulation even in losing ones self respect and dignity. Yes i was pleasantly awakened to a 'BOLD' article on Supreme court's(Vacation bench's) style of functioning and what impact it has on general Litigant's mood in TOI. Yes its Bold(True) & Beautiful(that's disputable)............................................ Let's defend BOLD First- The Sr. reporter in the eye of the storm is Dhananjay Mahapatra. The article mentions many areas of neglect which is normally not to be observed in the corridors of Country's topmost Judiciary. Dear Srinivasan Avargalae, It’s a point in time when you are more used to receiving bombardments for your resignation/ apologies/ prostrate before media requests and many more acts of guilt cleansing and i might be the single soul to write a letter asking you to do some SOUL SEARCHING. If you have been a regular TOI reader you might have got the clue from their GYAN-INNER PEACE section bang under the editorial (guest writers) writeups..............................nevertheless you must have taken to deep aversion to word TOI by now.  WHY AVERSE TO TOI!- my thinking I was pretty amused (TimesofIndia) the first 2 days when they carried Chennai  Heavyweight's  exploits off the cricketing field; to be frank it’s a newspaper's adventure in exposing a supposedly tainted Cricket administrator. In depth analysis of his links and much more..................but with TV channels being relentless in attempts to get something out of Srinivasan's mouth...

Why? Makes us wonder WHY have Farmers been designated a sub class in the social hierarchy or a grouping in a society which means 'Poor sod, toiling hopelessly in soil & Sun & Rain'.  These same farmers had been the fathers-Grandfathers- Great grandfathers- Grandest of Grandfathers and so on.....................all these Fathers toiled in sun and rain to give next generation a future to behold.  But why this disdain and apathy towards a community which still reserves the 'Right to Feed' the nation.  50 years ago people never sold their arable land to meet their needs; Today the unthinkable is happening- a farmer's wealth his land and livestock. This is pledged to meet his generation's needs. What has happened to the elected Government? Are they working or sleeping?...................why would they sell land and why should they feel cheated?
