BCCI & Cricket ! this is BIG Joke

what has this body done to further the cause of a game which is played by 22 individuals at one point of time and watched by a mutiple of 1X10 to the power of 10 people glued to their Government sponsored Television sets all see telly for the future.................................YES definitely it has got enough Balls sorry eye balls gluing to Sachin & Co; Indian youth is out slogging to become, 'Yaaru Adutha Tendulkar' and even cine stars figuring to cash in one our demi-gods name.

If 100 billion hearts long to become a cricketer and the Professional approach of Non-government Babudom less attitude of BCCI trying to further the game; then why have we not produced a single complete genuine batting genius after Gavaskar/ Sachin/ Sehwag/ Kohli????????? still licking his hands at prospect of fairness cream ads and mint through flash cameras than being a perfect Indian cricket icon. Or a fast bowler of Kapil or Javagal Srinath's fame; let alone the media craze & bit retard Sreesanth and his wierd Hairdos than genuine bowling effort???????? Its because India does not look beyond comfort; being thrashed by Bangladesh is OK; Tendulkar getting 100 is OK; India losing series after series OK; Tendulkar not getting Hundred or Bharat Ratna not OK. People's love and affection and media's glare has given tendulkar what he could not even imagined; now lets MOVE ON. Why are we always basking in glorious past when its just PAST. Pride we have in controlling a Englishman's game BUT what pride we have when we cannot thrash Englishmen in their conditions or even playing a full strength team.

I am fine with Tendulkar getting Bharat Ratna or even the next President but please know there is more to game than Cricket; Football struggling to get a decent world class players to fore with minimum facilities to boast of; Hockey a game traditional to India still caught between the Blo*** egos of spineless administrators; give chance to Chess when Anand has loyally contributed to Nation's years of rich haul; Our wrestling men and Boxers hold their chest high which speaks volumes of their passion; Badminton, Kabbadi all have been there but not a line of players to defend the legacy of present crop? Why does everyone not think beyond the glamour and colour of cricket? BCCI builds stadiums/ grounds/ spends in cheer girls but has it adopted a village or rescued men and women in floods or even done anything to give back to society rather than feeding on ever hungry complex society.

Chennai hosted the Bilateral cricket series for Blind players for India and Pakistan. This spectacle was veiwed by a abysmal 10-15 spectators when our visually challenged friends pride of wearing India colours was no less in value or shine. They were equally adept in the field and spirit as a able bodied cricketer. Their counterparts were well off only in facilities provided by their Government and Pakistan Cricket Board; while BCCI is busy hoarding cash from sponsorships and singing elegy to government bosses to evade tax. BCCI has not recognised this tournament and has also not foot a penny of the expenses; more painful is that most cricketers were on holiday from their respective jobs losing pay in the process. India's Inc or any Sports body must treat their sportsmen none less than the GODS as they are wearing Indian colours. When we do not appreciate our own men and women what pride do you have in even calling yourself faithful to the nation.

My volunteers showed the commitment in serving these visually challenged cricketers on all days of the matches with same awe and pride as we do for an able bodied player. BCCI has no guts to call itself a national body rather a profit making machine with duffers & Bufoons. It took them ages to even give women cricketers basic rights of the game.

India cannot afford to INSULT its players in any game or format; if one wears our colours we should blend to rise to ocassion. 3 days of Tendulkar's 100th 100 has drowned greater achievements of our Men and women in other realms of the world of Sport. I pray for a fair world for everyone.
