Naveen Patnaik and his sleep inducing press speeches was no where to rescue the Collector let alone trying his chaste Oriya warning Naxals. If there was ever a law barring non-native speakers from Political posts; half our Gaddas will be ruled by Naxals and Maoists. At last understanding the value of work done by Alex Paul Menon Naxals had relented.
To add to this Tamasha was India's Rajya Sabha nominees; Rajya Sabha can be conveniently taken for a pocket money job or part time income for a full time cricketer. Even when the cricketing icon himself speaks out in Marathi that the game is foremost in mind than the Maroon benches where he would be playing twelfth man every time the session starts. Its all the more annoying when country needs responsible legislators to take the seat and debate on serious issues. Stateman are one who have mastered the art of Political science or even say the way one carries himself in diplomacy. Dr. Kalam is a genius who can ignite more young minds than stay locked up in Rashtrapathi Bhavan and of course yes he took good care of Mughal gardens than all previous Heads stay.......................the gardens did blossom but a genius should never be made to undertake political journey. He has to understand his diginity lies in his mission to ignite minds rather than play to the tunes of Political ignoramuses. After all he is the Ace card a Muslim Minority, How can he allow Politicos to use him as a religion card?
I am perplexed when a person of stature Hamid Ansari is overlooked and even a tradition of promoting Vice President to President being juggled like some pawns is all the more depressing; be it the way Bhairon Singh Shekawat was handled or Krishna Kant or many more........................India has lost its step this time by playing to popular sentiments than sensible tradition.
